San
Antonio – The United States Marshals Service (USMS) sponsored Lone
Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) is pleased to announce that the USMS
sponsored Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force caught up with two
individuals suspected in the murder of Christopher Duncan.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2008, Deputy Marshals
from the Brownsville, Texas Office were out looking for this couple
based on leads developed Saturday in Corpus Christi after an additional
suspect, Robert Patrick White was arrested. The Deputy Marshals spotted
a female on South Padre Island near Dirty Al’s Bar and Restaurant that
matched the description of the female suspect. The Deputy Marshals
watched the female from a distance until she walked to a red tent in an
adjacent trailer park. At the opening of the tent a male was standing
that matched the description of the male in the previously released Wal-mart
surveillance videos The Deputy Marshals ordered the two suspects to the
ground and placed them in handcuffs.
The two suspects detained are Thomas Justin Ahrens 33 and Kristi Lynn
Tebo 34. Both have criminal histories and both have lived in Florida.
The USMS and the LSFTF would like to thank all of the Law Enforcement
Agencies that participated in this nationwide search as well as the
media for keeping this terrible crime in the news. A special thanks goes
to America’s Most Wanted for filming this for an upcoming episode and
stirring up media interest.
The United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas LaFayette
Collins said “If it bears out the suspects arrested are the ones
responsible for this heinous crime, then we have done our job by
tracking them down. Our condolences go out to the friends and family of
Christopher Duncan and our hope is that these arrests bring some level
of closure for them.” |
