2007 TXIH Entertainment
For your listening and dancing pleasure we are going to have a band for both Friday and Saturday nights. Both bands rock and should keep the party going till all hours. Check out their respective websites below.
Friday Night's Entertainment
We will have a band for the opening of festivities. Houston H3's own Rubbin the Boy Wanker and his band, the Chaka Mad Band. They style themsleves as party band and play a great mix of Rock n Roll, Blues, Funk and Classic Rock. Check them out at their website, Chaka Mad Band.
Saturday Night's Entertainment
Back for a TXIH return engagement is Skunkweed. The hash loves this band and the band loves the hash. These guys ROCK. Check them out at their website, Skunkweed.
Skits
The skits will take place between after dinner and before the band Skunkweed kicks off. The categories for skits this year are as follows:
Mr/Ms Texas Interhash
This year we are going to try something different. To be considered for Mr./Ms. TXIH, you will have to submit a nomination and prepare a skit. No nominations will be taken at the event.
TXIH 2008
Again we are trying something different. To be consistent with the world interhash, any Texas kennel wishing to be the host for the 2008TXIH, will need to conduct a presentation as to why they should or why they should not be chosen. The presentation can be as simple as getting in front of everyone and saying "We Want to Host the 2008 TXIH", or as geeky as a Power Point presentation, or a full blown Gilbert and Sullivan operetta. Your choice. Any Texas kennel that would like to be considered, please send us your nomination. No nominations will be taken at the event.
Skits in General
If you haven't been following along to this point, any and all skits will have to be submitted before hand. We are doing this to have an idea of how long the skits will take so we can give the band a good approximation as to when they should go on.
We heard that the skits performed at the Houston 1500th run were great. So if any of the performers at the 1500th are coming to the TXIH, we would love for you to give us an encore performance. Let us know so we can put you on the schedule.
