Welcome to the 2007 Texas Interhash (TXIH) web page. The theme this year is The Best Little Hash House in Texas. Some may say that it is all about the size of the ship, but the Skeeters believe it is definitely the motion in the ocean. Cum join us in the piney woods of Cut and Shoot, TX and let us show you why we think we are the The Best Little Hash House in Texas.
Thanks to our own Tuna Delight for coming up with a really cool logo. Can you believe it, a hash run logo that you can actually wear in public? The logo you see at the top of the web page is what is going to be on the front of the T-shirt everyone will receive as part of the rego.
This may or may not be a first but we are going to have not one but two bands playing at this year's TXIH. Check out the bands and what is going on with the skits in our Entertainment section.
We feel we have a really cool camp site for this year's event. They have played host to several biker rallies in the past, so the hash will not shock them. In fact, they have cleared out the place just for us. Check out a description of the place, as well as some pictures of the campground in our Campsite section.
One of the underlying themes of this TXIH is loyalty to our hash brothers and sisters. Friday night's band is fronted by a hasher (Rubbin the Boy Wanker) and one of our beer sponsors is a hasher. Lone Pint Brewery is co-owned by Pearl Necklace and her brother. They have graciously donated several flavors of their brew for this year's event. Please check out their web site for more information on who they are and what types of beer they brew.
The yahoo group for the TXIH is up and running. To sign up for the group go to the TXIH group. We are going to start posting information on the group as well as here on the web site. You can also email MH3 Mismanagement directly with any questions.
Travel information to TXIH including which airport to fly into is included in our Directions section. Check out the Who's Cumming section to see who has signed up to this point. The section will be updated as regos are received. A tentative schedule of events is published in our Schedule of Events page with details filled in as the time of the event draws nearer. To give recognition to all participating kennels, a Links section was created pointing to the website of that kennel Satisfy the voyeur in you and see how the other kennels do it.
Updates
Here it is about 40 days out and the regos keep on flowing in. The mugs have been ordered and as soon as we get them in our hot little hands we will post pictures of the mugs for each kennel that ordered one. The gimmees have been selected and on order. Again as we get them in we will post in a new section called Gimmees and Awards. Everyone likes to see what they are getting for their money. The pool (YES a pool!!) will be cleaned and ready for us. If you are flying in, please get us your itineraries so we can be sure to pick you up.
Update - 3/25/2007
Less than 3 weeks left and it is getting down to crunch time. We just passed the 200 rego mark and still looking for more. Now is the time to get us your flight schedules so we can arrange airport pickups. All but one of the gimmees is in our hot little hands and as soon as we get that sucker we will post all of the gimmees.
One of the special things we have been working on is an online yearbook. That's right an online yearbook. The TXIH weekend will be remembered with a yearbook that will be available to all either online or as a downloadable zip file. In addition, all of the pictures used to build the yearbook will also be available in a zip file sans the yearbook formatting. No more having to sign up for Kodak Gallery and all of those other galleries to view pictures. Simply go to the TXIH or Mosquito web site and download for your personal or printing pleasure.
To get a glimpse of the yearbook click on the following link, Yearbook . When you arrive at TXIH we will take your "yearbook picture". This picture will go under your kennel and also have a space for you to provide us with an "electronic signing". Write whatever you want, whether it is a shout out to someone or just a general message.
Update - 3/27/2007
The gimmee page is up and running. Please click on the following link What You Get, to see some of the stuff you will be getting for attending this years event. The rest of the gimmees will be put on the web as soon as we get pictures taken. In the race for which kennel has the most hashers attending, the standings are as follows: (1) San Antonio, (2) Austin, (3) Houston, (4) Dallas/Ft. Worth.
Update - 4/5/2007
Since there is going to be a Meet and Greet on Thursday at Bryant's Ice House, an additional page will be added to the yearbook. Depending on circumstances we will try to get the pictures posted so those of you sitting on the fence can get your arses out to Cut N Shoot. Can't understand why anyone would drag their feet, because where else can you see two bands, steak dinner, awesome gimmees, kick ass trails and all the beer you care to drink all for less than 100 bucks.
The airport list is building so if you are flying in, please get us your flight information. The San Antonio hashes still hold a sizeable lead over the other kennels. Between San Antonio and Kiss My Hash there are 38 wankers signed up. The next closest is Austin with 24. Props to Te-Kill-Ya for getting the word out, we love you girlfriend! We wouldn't be surprised if in the end there are 50 of you wankers heading east on I-10.
Please remember not to bring your pets to TXIH. There will be no exceptions, sorry. Bug spray will be a necessity since we have had a mild winter and a wet spring. Links for weather and traffic will be posted early next week. Check back periodically as we add more information. The 'skeeters are looking forward to seeing all of you next weekend.
Update - 4/8/2007
This is the next to last update for the 2007 TXIH. The next one will be on Wednesday before the event. As of today we have 225 wankers from 45 kennels. San Antonio is still in the lead. Yes we are getting close and we are filling up the gimmee bags and making last minute preparations. The mugs are in and they look great. We have posted an example on the TXIH Mug Offer page. Time permitting we may post a few more kennels.
The gimmee page has been updated also. I won't spoil the surprise so go to the Gimmee page and look for yourself.
Again the usual reminders: if you need a ride from the airport, please let us know; no pets, please; bring your PI remedies and preventives; bring bug spray; and bring whatever else you may need to get you through the weekend.
Update - 4/11/2007
This is the final update before the event so take notes wankers. It is two more days before the fun begins in the Piney Woods of Texas. We are furiously tying up loose ends and making sure we have enough beer for y'all.
The weather is going to be nice. Forecasts earlier in the week were calling for scattered thunderstorms on Friday, but that has since changed. This is Texas and you never know when a shower might pop up, but they do come and go quickly. The nights are going to be a bit cool so bring what you need to keep warm. The bugs will be down because of the cool weather we have had in the past week. I would bring bug spray just in case. The poison ivy is all around in the woods. The campsite is clear, but it is on trail and in the woods surrounding the campsite. Prepare accordingly.
Again all previous reminders are still applicable. The Pay Pal site will be shut down early Friday morning. You last minute wankers hurry and sign up or wait until you get to Cut N Shoot. If you have any last minute questions or concerns, please email any one on Mismanagement.
